Cocaine Cures Coronavirus

In a time of mass panic, what better way to ease your suffering than to find out hoovering up a bit of nose candy like an 80s rock star will cure what ails ya! But before you start paying a visit to the dodgiest street corner you can find and rolling up a one dollar bill you might want to take a step back, ok, maybe three steps back.

The seed from which this ludicrous theory sprouted from was a (always reliable) Facebook post from Jan. 30, 2019, in the early stages of the pandemic. The ‘breaking news’ post contained an image of a bag of the Peruvian marching dust with a banner that read, “Cocaine kills corona virus” and “Scientists is shocked to discover that this drug can fight the virus.”
