Cancel Subscriptions and Memberships
Be honest- how many yearly subscriptions are you paying for? What about monthly subscriptions? If you’re not even sure, then it’s time to review your emails or bank statements in order to uncover some that you’ve signed up for but forgot about.
Now it’s time to think about the subscriptions you haven’t used in months. Cancel them now with no penalty and only order them again if you truly miss them. While you’re at it, keep a record of how much you’ve saved to really give you an idea of what not mistakes to repeat in the future!
Opt Out of Ad Tracking
The less tempted you are to buy something, the more money you’ll be able to save. If you’ve been eyeing an item for a while, chances are you’re probably getting a plethora of ads for it, reminding you to spend, spend, spend!
By limiting how many ads you see, you can get rid of that temptation. Visit the Digital Advertising Alliance and ‘opt-out’ in your browser and used AppChoices on your mobile devices.
Borrow Appliances
How many times are you really going to use some kitchen appliances? Chances are, not often. Instead of purchasing these appliances and then forgetting about them for weeks on end in a cupboard, borrow them from friends, neighbors, or family whenever you need them!
A nice thank you note and a taste of whatever it is you cooked should go a long way, too!
