‘Designer’ Products at Deep Discounts
Counterfeit goods are everywhere. Differentiating them in real life has gotten more and more difficult over the years, and doing so online is almost impossible. You may even find them on Amazon, eBay and Walmart, so even reputable retailers aren’t free of them.
The issue is so widespread that even the U.S. Government Accountability Office got duped. In a 2018 study, 20 of the 47 products they purchased turned out to be fakes.
So if you really want that high-ticket item and found one at a great price, it’s best to avoid it. It’s very likely that it’s a fake. If you want the real deal, buy directly from the retailer, even if it costs significantly more.
