Fake Shipping Alerts
Hackers also use fake shipping alerts in order to get you to download malware on your computer, not just fake emails from retailers.
The majority of these emails will claim that there was a problem with your order or that your shipping is delayed and the only way to fix it is by following a link. You’ll notice that these seem to be coming from companies like FedEx, but when you check the email address it was sent from, it’ll look sketchy.
Skip on clicking the link and open a new tab. From there, visit the shipper’s website directly and put in your tracking number to check if there really have been delays.
