And, finally, paper towels. Even today you might still find empty shelves where once your favorite brand of paper towels used to live. This is in part due to the hoarders who bought packs upon packs for themselves early on, but that’s not the only reason we’re still seeing shortages.
Because manufacturers weren’t making paper towels fast enough even before the pandemic in the event of a nationwide need for them, once COVID-19 made to our backdoors, they had nothing ready and in stock. As such, they had to keep up with demand instead of being ahead of the curve.
