Everyone remembers the ‘70 hit group, Rufus, right? Well, here we have a young Yvette Marie Stevens, better known as Chaka Khan before she was ever part of the band. Together, they achieved four gold singles, four gold albums, and two platinum albums.
Khan has won ten Grammy Awards and has sold an estimated 70 million records worldwide, but it doesn’t end there, oh no. During her solo career, she also achieved three gold singles, three gold albums and one platinum album with I Feel for You.
All in all, her career spanned nearly five decades. Not even surprising, coming from the Queen of Funk.
