7 Linda Vaughn and the Hursettes

The Daytona 500, Indy 500, and the Nationals simply would not have been the same without Linda Vaughn! Actually, sports racing as a whole wouldn’t have been the same without Miss Hurst Golden Shifter, a title she received after winning a contest of 200 girls.

Vaughn was often seen with Nikki Phillips and June Cochran and the trio was better known as the Hursettes.

In 2019, she was introduced into the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America after being known as an ambassador and promoter of American motor racing for decades.
